WI Man Injured in Snowmobile Accident

A Wisconsin man is recovering from injuries he sustained during a snowmobile accident in Houghton County Tuesday afternoon. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash around 4:00 p.m. on Trail #3, a quarter-mile south of Painesdale. Police say the driver was traveling northbound on the trail with a group of other riders when he lost control of his snowmobile and struck a tree. The Wisconsin resident was treated at the scene by Adams Township First Responders and Mercy Ambulance medics. He was then transferred to Portage Health for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
