Baraga man arrested after threatening business owner

A 52-year-old man was arrested on Thursday by law enforcement personnel in Baraga County following an altercation at an area business the evening prior. The Baraga Township man is accused of pulling a gun after a verbal confrontation with an owner late Wednesday.

The man was taken into custody without incident at his home by the Baraga County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team, and representatives from UPSET West. When they entered the man’s residence they found a handgun, marijuana, and a laboratory used to produce hash oil, all of which has been confiscated.

The person’s identity is being withheld until he is arraigned.
