U-M President Calls For Action Against Frat Vandals

University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel says fraternity members who vandalized northern Michigan resorts in January should be prosecuted.

Schlissel told the Michigan Radio Network that those who did the vandalism have to be held responsible since they are young adults.

He made the comments in Lansing Tuesday.

Several fraternities caused more than 100-thousand dollars worth of damage at two northern Michigan resorts.

Late last week the head of the University of Michigan’s Interfraternity Council called for the State Police, the university and national organizations to punish those responsible.
