Grant Township Putting Together Survey for Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

Grant  Township is looking into helping residents dispose of hazardous household waste. At their previous regular meeting they township was approached about beginning a disposal program so the community can dispose of items like used motor oil, old house paint, and other hazardous materials that tend to pile up over time. The township will post a survey to their website, for resident to take part in, in order to gauge the community’s interest and what items are likely disposable.

Grant Township’s Supervisor, Scott Wendt, also mentioned the appearance of the Community Task Force looking into the problem with mobile communication in the Keweenaw. John Mueller was also present via zoom for the meeting, Stating during public comment that he is looking forward to more in the community joining the task force and discovering solutions a problem in the community.
