Construction to Cause More Lift Bridge Delays

Watch for more lifts and lane closures on the Houghton-Hancock Bridge this week.

Contractors will be working on the curbs and the electrical system.

Outside lanes on both sides will be closed much of the week.

Some lifts will be performed during the daytime, but shouldn’t last more than 10 minutes, and will not take place during peak traffic times. Overnight lifts of up to 15 minutes could also take place.

The repair project is expected to be completed by early June.
