It’s Independence Day weekend, and Independence Stay of Houghton is officially opening today. Construction for the hotel began last year and finished during the spring. Their Houghton hotel is their second location, with the other independence stay located in Marinette, Wisconsin. The hotel offers a number of amenities, including a gym, laundry units, and rooms large enough to feel at home. The hotel is centrally located with restaurants, and shopping nearby, and downtown Houghton is not a far drive for even more shopping and dining options. The extended stay hotel will have a ribbon cutting and open house today starting at 4 pm.
