Houghton Fair Offers Electronic Tickets

This year’s Houghton County Fair is offering a new admission option.

On Sunday’s Copper Country Today program, fair board members Kathy Caspary and Rick Freeman said that electronic ticketing will be used for the first time…

CASPARY: It’s called TicketSpice, and you can go to HoughtonCountyFair.com and order your tickets early, and you have it on your phone, and you have a bar code or something, is that what it is? FREEMAN: Yeah, there’s a code that the people at the gate will scan.

The new system can be used for single-day tickets, or four-day passes. Four-day passes can still be purchased at a discount through tomorrow.

The fair runs from Thursday through Sunday.

Not to worry – traditional paper tickets are also still available.
