The Ahmeek Village Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will be better able to fight fires, thanks to a recent federal grant,

The $42,623.00 award from the FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant program will be used to replace existing fire hose, much of which was donated by downstate departments. It’s the third straight year the Ahmeek department has received a FEMA grant.
