Last Week’s Assault Victim has Died

The victim of last week’s Arbor Green Apartments assault has died. The Houghton Police Department reports that the victim died from injuries sustained during the assault. A 19 year old man from Houghton has been arrested. He was charged last Friday with assault with intent to murder. The Houghton County prosecutor has since upped that charge to homicide – open murder. No other information will be released at this time, pending the Houghton police department’s investigation.
