Rock Out to the Classic Sounds of Metal with the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra

Rock and roll and classical music may not pair together often, but when it is done right it sounds so good. This weekend The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra performs Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No 2, alongside more symphony music and examples from the metal and jazz genres. The orchestra will be joined on stage by Concert Pianist, Dr. Lindsey Garritson, as a soloist. Garritson has performed with the Phoenix Symphony, Montreal Orchestra, Yale Philharmonic, and orchestras in Europe and Brazil. The concert will also include a flugelhorn piece arranged by KSO Director, Joel Neves, and performed by, Adam Meckler, of music by metal band, Black Sabbath. The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra takes stage at the Rozsa Center on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Check out the Rozsa Center Box Office from more information on tickets, and show details.
