Two Dead in Eastern U.P. Crash

Two Ohio residents are dead, following a two-car crash Saturday afternoon in the eastern Upper Peninsula.

Mackinac County Sheriff’s deputies report the collision happened on US-2 about 13 miles west of Saint Ignace.

Four others were hospitalized. The names of the victims, and the conditions of the survivors, have not been released.

Investigators say high winds, blowing snow and slippery roads contributed to the crash, which shut down the highway for several hours.
