One Dead in ORV Crash in Nahma Township

There was a fatal off road vehicle (ORV) crash on 27.25 Rd near KK Rd in Nahma Township, Delta County.

There were two individuals involved in the crash on Friday afternoon (April 15). The female passenger from Rapid River, LeeAnne Moore, was found deceased at the scene. The driver, also from Rapid River, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Neither were wearing a seatbelt or helmet. It was believed a blown tire caused a loss of control, and the ORV rolled, ejecting both occupants.

Speed is thought to be a factor in the crash, but it is under investigation by the state police. Troopers dispatched from Gladstone post were assisted at the scene by Garden Fire and EMS, Nahma Fire and EMS, and Rampart EMS.
