Residents and Business Owners Should Report All Flooding Damage

With the previous flooding from rapid snowmelt, Governor Whitmer declared a state of emergency in Houghton and Gogebic counties.

Ontonagon, Baraga and Marquette Counties have declared local emergencies and are expected to be added to the state declaration soon.

Residents and business owners in Houghton, Gogebic, Ontonagon, Baraga, Marquette, Keweenaw, Iron, Dickinson, Menominee, Alger, and Delta counties are asked to take pictures of and report any damage caused by water, no matter how small.

The local officials, emergency managers, and state police will continue to monitor the situation, assess damage, and provide needed resources.

For those without internet services and need further assistance, call 2-1-1 between 8a.m.- 6p.m. Operators will collect damage reports.
