Construction Jobs Gaining

Unemployment in Michigan’s construction industry declined by more than 5.5 percent during the past year, according to the Associated Builders and Contractors.

ABC analyzed statistics released in February by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Michigan‘s construction-related jobless decline was the largest year-over-year drop in the U.S.

The Michigan jobless rate for construction in Michigan now sits at 13.5 percent.

Until this past year, there had been construction job losses for about a decade in Michigan, according to ABC.
