CopperDog Organizers Reconfigure the Volunteer Portal, Adds Two Film Screenings to the Weekend

Copper Dog’s organizers are finalizing their change in places for the first weekend of March. The Sled Dog weekend will still need a handful of volunteers to assist with the event’s two new competitions, the Copper Pull and Copper Dash. Organizers have recently reconfigured the CopperDog volunteer portal to accommodate for the less slots needed. Some jobs are completely full. Although, says Volunteer Coordinator Krissy Tepsa, the weekend still needs help with fence tear down on 5th street. As well as set up and clean up volunteers for the CopperDog Fundraiser dinner on Sunday.

Some of CopperDog’s additional plans for the weekend to replace the races will include a showing of Iron Will at the Calumet Theatre on Saturday night at 7:30 pm, and the documentary Musher at 1 pm on Sunday before the fundraiser dinner. Musher shares team stories focusing on four women who have completed CopperDog races. Both screenings are free, and donations are greatly accepted.
