Parade of Nations Opens Essay Contest to High School Seniors

Michigan Tech’s Parade of Nations celebrates diverse cultures coming to the Keweenaw Peninsula. Each year leading up to the end of the previous spring semester the parade’s organizers open the annual Parade of Nations essay contest to incoming freshmen. This year the essay contest will ask high school seniors to explore how diverse cultures make our communities stronger, and how they can create a sense of identity and belonging for all students on campus. The essay contest will award a single senior a 1,000-dollar scholarship for the upcoming fall semester. The deadline to submit an essay to the Parade of Nations essay contest will close on June 30th. Essay can be submitted online. Those interested in learning more about the Parade of Nations essay contest can find more details here.
