Palcohol Ban Moves Forward

Lawmakers in Lansing are one step closer to banning the sale of powdered alcohol in Michigan.

The Michigan Senate approved the ban unanimously Wednesday sending the bill to the House.

State Senator Rick Jones, who’s sponsoring the bill, says the packets of powdered alcohol, which can be mixed with water, juice or pop, could easily be abused by college students or teenagers.

38 other states are also looking at banning the sale of powdered alcohol.
