Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 2-car personal injury crash around 10:30 a.m. in Portage Township.
The vehicle driven by a 78 year-old from L’Anse was westbound on US-41 when the driver attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Waylene Street. Not seeing the incoming traffic, the driver turned into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by a 64 year-old from Hancock.
Mercy Ambulance transported both drivers to UP Health-System Portage for treatment of their injuries.
Officers from MTU Public Safety and City of Houghton Police Department assisted on the scene.
