Heavy Rains Save Michigan Crops

UPDATED – Two Beartown Firefighters Killed – Names Released

Two members of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community’s Beartown Firefighting squad were killed Saturday in a traffic crash in Minnesota. Minnesota State Patrol investigators say the transport vehicle carrying nine passengers struck the median cable barriers “for an unknown reason” and rolled over on I-35W in Blaine, a northern Minneapolis suburb. Fire In Centennial Heights Home

Fire crews responded to a house fire Friday afternoon in Centennial Heights. The call came in around noon. By about 2pm, the fire was out.  There were no injuries reported. Calumet Village, Calumet Township and Laurium Fire Departments responded to the scene.
