4-H accepting scholarship applications

The 4-H program for Houghton and Keweenaw Counties is offering its annual $500 scholarship again, and now soliciting applications. There are some restrictions on who can submit for the award. The person must have been part of 4-H for at least three years and still live in the area. The scholarship is meant to defray future academic costs in some capacity, whether it be the military, an apprenticeship or trade school, all the way up to a four-year university.

Applications are due on April 15th and need to highlight the value of 4-H in the person’s life, how it will help them as they move into further education or a career. To obtain a copy of the submission form, contact the Michigan State University Extension Office. Reaching out can be done by phone or email and full information is listed in the 4-H press release below.
