Artists from the Upper Peninsula Sought for Designs of the Big Annie Statue

The Big Annie Statue Committee enters into an important step toward erecting a bronze statue of Anna Klobuchar Clemenc. The Big Annie Stateu committee will begin seeking artists to commission design work for the bronze statue. Artists are encouraged to create a unique rendering of Annie that encapsulates her influence in the Copper Country. Artists interested in submitting work must be 18 years old or older, and reside in the Upper Peninsula. Additionally, all artwork must be original. Artists may submit two-dimensional renderings of their design for the statue, no photography will be accepted by the committee. The committee also asks artists to keep in mind all works will be used in promotional materials as well. Artists are limited to two submissions and there is no entry fee to submit designs. The deadline to submit artwork to the Big Anie statue committee will end on March 1st. Find more details here.
