Boat parade part of Community Night Out

Fun on shore and on the canal looks to be part of the itinerary for the Community Night Out happening Saturday, September 4th. The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce says the last event before the fireworks will be a boat parade. Katie Schlief says no registration is required.

You can start by lining up at the Super Eight Houghton dock, and then we will have a Parade Marshall with a sign on that boat stating when to go.

The parade will end on the west side of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge at dusk, just in time for a spectacular fireworks show put on by the Cities of Houghton and Hancock. Several local businesses are helping to sponsor the festivities as well.

The full release, with a list of events for the entire day, is below.
