Copper Harbor Trails Partially Open to Start the Mountain Biking Season

Copper Harbor Trails Club invites mountain bikers to return to the trails now that the system has partially opened. Copper Harbor Trails Club says that the main trail network near the town has opened to the public. However, some trails further out, such as East Bluff, are not ready for activity yet.

Copper Harbor Trails Club president Nathan Miller says that he hopes to see bikers out, and as excited as the club is to hit the trails a month ahead of the club’s main event Memorial Day weekend.

East Bluff and Keweenaw Pointe trails still need time to dry out deeper in the forest. The Overflow Gap Jump will also remain closed until the club can complete work refurbishing the trail’s decking later this month. Those excited about the upcoming mountain biking and recreation season can keep track of the trail club’s updates on the Copper Harbor Trails Club Facebook page.
