Critical Blood Shortage In The UP

Residents in the Upper Peninsula are needed to give blood as supply is running critically low.

The UPHS Regional Blood Center is experiencing a need for A-positive, O-positive, A-negative, O-negative and B-positive blood types.

All that is required of a donor is that they are healthy, hydrated, at least 17 years old and 110 pounds.

It must be at least eight weeks since you last donated.  Be sure to bring your picture ID with you and eat two hours before you donate blood.

Blood can be donated locally by contacting the Hancock location.
