DANCER Blends Two Traditional Style of Dance into a Unique Performance

Tonight and Tomorrow The Rozsa Center will kick off the theater’s presenting series with an exciting and unique dance performance. DANCER brings to the Copper Country two world-class dance companies the Grand Rapids Ballet from the lower peninsula, and the Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company from Crystal Falls. Rozsa Center Director, Mary Jennings says to expect a unique blend of two very traditional dance styles throughout the show.

“People get excited about ballet. And I’m really, particularly excited about this pairing that is championing and showcasing two dance forms that are rooted in tradition. But also thriving into the future.” – Mary Jennings, Director, Rozsa Center for Preforming Arts

Jennings adds that the Rozsa Center’s new ticketing program has been exciting to see. With the new pay-as-you-are-able ticket pricing for entertainment for shows including the presenting series, the Rozsa hopes more people will have the opportunity to enjoy the theater’s unique lineup each season.

“I’m excited to get as many folks in our venue as possible to see this, really, wonderful. And also unique collaboration.” – Mary Jennings, Director, Rozsa Center for Preforming Arts

Tickets to DANCER have a face value of $25 (twenty-five dollars). But with such an exciting show to start the presenting series some may choose to pay a different price for the opportunity to see the Grand Rapids Ballet and Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company on stage together. Tonight and tomorrow performance of DANCER will begin at 7:30 pm.
