DNR auctioning off waterfront Baraga County property

Nearly an acre of property in L’Anse Township is up for auction through June 16th as part of the Department of Natural Resources’ annual surplus land sale. The property at 15456 Pequaming Street has an abandoned church still standing, but no other structures.

It comes with over 200 feet of Lake Superior frontage along Keweenaw Bay. It’s zoned residential and offers one of the best shoreline opportunities in the area.

The auction is online only and you can find instructions on how to place a bid here. As of Tuesday morning, the high bid was at $39,000.
