Grant Will Support MI-TRALE ORV Training & Trail Maintenance

Don Helsel, the president of MI-TRALE stated that “These funds will be used to purchase 2 youth ATVs, helmets, eye protection, and other equipment to support our youth ORV safety training program.” Helsel further stated that “Without the strong support of the MI-TRALE board, our members, and our local Polaris Dealers (Headwaters Polaris in Watersmeet and Pat’s Motorsports in Greenland) this grant would not have been possible. “Janet Holmstrom, communications/director exclaimed “the youth in our safety programs are going to be so happy with all this new equipment! Thank you Polaris!”

In addition to the youth training equipment the grant will be used to purchase trail counters. The counter data will be used to determine trail usage for scheduling maintenance to provide safer trails for the riders.

Polaris Industries recognizes the work that MI-TRALE has accomplished along with the partnerships that have been created the last few years, and is able to support us with this grant so that we can continue teach safe trail use to our youth, and to maintain and grow our trail system.
