Laurium Village Trustee Amy Schneiderhan, who resigned last month, has been replaced on the board of trustees. John Gulbraith will replace Schneiderhan beginning next month, and will remain on the board until 2024. Schneiderhan’s resignation took place after the deadline for the village to file for the seat to go to election. Next month the village plans to schedule a public hearing on an upcoming rental ordinance. The village board is finalizing details for the rental ordinance, before it is presented to the public. And the November village council meeting will take place as scheduled on November 15th.
