Hancock Asks Residents for Feedback on Recreation Habits in the City

In the midst of Hancock working on the city’s updated master plan, officials are also working to update the city’s recreation plan. The city has released a recreation survey, asking for resident feedback, helping to guide Hancock’s five year recreation plan. Residents are asked to respond to questions about their recreation habits within the city, and how often they use public infrastructure for their enjoyment.

The goal of the survey is to collect information on the types of recreation residents are interested in, and locations in the city where residents feel there are opportunists for recreational development. Residents may respond to the survey online or by mail. Paper copies of the Hancock Recreation Survey can be found at City Hall or at the Portage Lake District Library. Public responses are due no later later than September 16th.

The city of Hancock is working wit the Western Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Region to collect survey responses for the city’s five year recreation plan.
