Hancock City Council Seeks to Fill Vacant At-Large Seat

Hancock will follow up the elevation of Kurt Rickard to Mayor and Lisa McKenzie as Mayor Pro Tem at Monday’s special meeting. By filling the council’s vacancy during tonight’s regular meeting. The council will select between six candidates, three of whom have previously run for a position on the council, including John Zurcher, Margo Pizzi, and Zachary Osbourne. The other three candidates include Ryan Tanner, Mariana Grohowski, and Branden Knoop.

Additionally the city council will look To add council members to various committees and groups working together on behalf of the city. Other action items include a police cruiser grant, and Caterpillar end loader grant with the United State Department of Agriculture – Rural Development program. As well as pay  number of bills for projects that have been completed or are in progress within Hancock city limits.

Prior to the start of the meeting the city council will hold a public hearing regarding the exchange of property from the the Mattila’s for top soil acquired at the business and technology park
