Holiday Gas Station Chain Recently Sold

A familiar gas station chain with many stores across the UP is changing ownership.

Holiday Stationstores Inc. has officially been acquired by one of the largest company-owned convenience store operators in the world. Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. finalized the purchase of the Holiday gas station chain on December 22nd, as approved by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Holiday operates 522 locations across 10 states with several in the UP including one in Hancock.

President and CEO of Couche-Tard Brian Hannasch, says that “The Holiday assets are a strong strategic fit for our business and expands the Corporation’s reach to 48 of the 50 U.S. states”.

Other Couche-Tard subsidiaries include Circle K and Mac’s Convenience Stores.
