Houghton City Council: PLDL Updates and Unanimous Council Housekeeping

The Houghton Council received updates on the renovation of the Portage Lake District Library.

The carpeting is complete, and the new furniture for the teen area is in place. The library hopes to reopen their doors to the public this Saturday to join in the festivities of the From the Ground farmers market festival.

The resolution to announce Aug 1 as the City of Houghton’s Bicycle Day was unanimously approved, as was the resolution to repave some roads. 

There will be a public hearing on June 7 that will include food truck ordinances.
