Keweenaw Emergency Operations Center Public Input Session Scheduled for Next Wednesday

Before Keweenaw County can start construction on a new Emergency Operations Center, it will need to gather input from residents. The Keweenaw County Sheriff recently received a grant of $50,000 for its Operations Center with a Rural Readiness Grant. The public input session coincides with the county’s public survey that is available online to give input on the planning stage of the Emergency Operations Center. The public input session will begin at 5 pm at the Keweenaw County Courthouse on Wednesday the 21st. The Keweenaw Area Community Foundation and The Nature Conservancy were co-applicants for the Rural Readiness Grant with the Keweenaw County Sheriff. Find more details here.
