Last Chance to Apply for the Quincy Dry House Ruins Art Installation

Artists intending to capture the historic significance of the Quincy Dry House will need to submit applications today. The Keweenaw National Historic Park Advisory Commission will seek an artist to create an installation on the west side of US 41, near the Dry House Ruins. During the height of the Quincy mine’s operations, miners would change in and out of work clothes at the dry house. In the years since time and weather have left behind the structure’s foundation and exterior walls. The artist picked for the installation will work on the project over six weeks this summer. Housing opportunities are available for artists living outside a 50-mile radius of the national historic park. Find more details here.
