Law enforcement searching for missing child near Paulding

Friday evening, area law enforcement began searching for a 17-year-old boy who went missing near Paulding. The most recent press release from Ontonagon County Sheriff Dale Rantala says his department has been joined by Michigan State Police along with several local, county and federal agencies. K-9 units have been brought in from across the Copper Country to assist.

Bad weather Saturday limited the ability to search from the air, but conditions are much better Sunday morning. The search restarted at 6:30 AM. The public is being asked to avoid the area, including US-45.
