Let’s Eat Community Meals Regularly Serves More Than 100 Meals per Month in Baraga County

Let’s Eat. This Sunday Let’s Eat Dinners will bring together residents of Baraga County for a free community meal. The inter-community meal program sets up free meal sites in Baraga county and the Keweenaw Peninsula once a month at each location. This weekend’s meal site located in Baraga, will likely serve more than 100 meals in a single day.

“We’re in our eighth year. And the attendance in Baraga County invariably is somewhere between 120 and 130 meals served on the second Sunday of the month. In the Copper Country, Chassell and Hancock are more like sixty-ish meals.” -Bill Binroth, Let’s Eat Coordinator

The let’s eat dinner at St. Anne’s church in Baraga will begin at 4 pm. This Sunday’s community dinner menu will include parmesan chicken, garlic bread, coleslaw, and apple sauce. Those interested in attending the free community meal can find more information here. Find more information for future meal site locations here.
