Michigan Saves Assists an Over 125-Year-Old Marquette Business Upgrade Lighting and Energy Efficiency

One of Marquette’s oldest businesses recently upgraded its energy efficiency with the help of Michigan Saves. Donckers and the Delft Bistro, a restaurant and candy shop who have served Marquette for 125 years, recently installed 1,700 LED lights to light up the space’s signature marquee sign. They also recently installed multiple solar roof panels, to help the site become more energy efficient. Michigan Saves is the nation’s first nonprofit green bank and works to support businesses and business owners interested in using clean energy. Using a vast network of eco-friendly contractors, Michigan Saves facilitates commercial and residential loans for clean energy projects.
