South Range Fourth of July Committee welcomes vendors

South Range Fourth of July Committee President Mike Renier is putting out the call for the morning flea market. Vendors can set up shop from 7:00 AM until 1:00 PM along the old M-26 route through the village. A $30 charge is assessed to participate and sellers need to call Renier at (906) 482-3563.

Renier is excited to announce four floats will receive recognition.

We have four parade cash prizes; first, second, third, and most patriotic for decorated float.

The parade begins at 2 PM.

The day’s events will be dedicated to longtime volunteers Anton Pintar, Karen Renier, and Bob Bonini. All three passed away over the past year.

All capacity restrictions will have been lifted in the state as of July 1st, both indoors and outdoors. Renier hopes that will encourage people to come out.

I think there’s a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.

All events happen on Independence Day proper, which is a Sunday this year.
