Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game Tomorrow at Hancock Central High School

Hopefully, Mother Nature doesn’t have any last-minute surprises for Hancock Central High School.

Tomorrow the Special Olympics Unified Basketball game will tip off inside the high school gymnasium. The event was originally scheduled for March but was moved to tomorrow afternoon when a severe winter storm blew into the region. The Unified Basketball game enters into its fifth year hosted by the Hancock Public Schools.

Organizers hope that many from the community will have an opportunity to come out and cheer on the Special Olympics athletes as they make three-pointers, and run up the scoreboard. This year the unified basketball game will feature 29 student-athletes from the CCISD classrooms in Hancock and L’Anse.

Parents, friends, and the community interested in joining the fun with the athletes can attend the game for free. Tip-off will start at 1:30 pm tomorrow at the Hancock High School.
