Spring Blacksmithing is Back

Blacksmithing is back this Spring at the Calumet Art Center.

Kris Southerland is teaching a beginner class this Saturday, April 15th from 12-3p.m. and next Tuesday, April 18th 4-7p.m. The classes are limited to 4 students per class. 

Beginning classes teach you how to use a hammer, tongs, and fire to create a few different kinds of hooks that the students are welcome to take home with them.

Students must wear close toed shoes and cotton clothing, and bring a water bottle.

Prepayment is required. There is a $50 class fee and $5 materials fee.
