Swedetown Chalet Reaches 25 years Old

The Swedetown Trails are a great place to take in the beauty of the Calumet-Laurium area. Offering cross country ski trails in the winter, and switching to biking trails when the snow melts. Now that the Swedetown chalet is twenty five years old, some improvements and repairs are needed.

Representatives with Calumet Township, UP Engineers and Architects, and the Swedetown Trails Club has invited the club members and the public to a input session tomorrow at the chalet. The groups plan to discuss some of the improvements including a potential layout change, to provide better universal access and more space.

Swedetown Trails Club members are asked to attend, and the public is welcome to join. The Swedetown Chalet Public Input will begin at noon, and go until 2 pm at the Swedetown Trails Chalet in Calumet. Please contact the Swedetown Trails Club with any questions at 906-337-1170.
