The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra Takes the Stage for the First Time this Season Tomorrow

The Keweenaw peninsula’s premiere orchestra will hold its first concert of the new Rozsa Center’s performance season. The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra, known to many in the upper peninsula for their classic sound and triumphant shows, will present Overtures! tomorrow. Joel Neves led the orchestra through the program. Overtures include many familiar pieces such as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, and the Candide Overture. Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra is the Upper Peninsula’s oldest orchestra and one of five in the Lake Superior region. Musicians in KSO perform around the Midwest performing works from musical theater, ballet, opera, and pops. Typically setting aside four to five dates for performances with the Rozsa Center each year. The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra’s first time on stage for the Rozsa Center 2023 performance season will start at 7; 30 p.m. Tickets cost 20 dollars for full price, and the performance is a part of the Pay as you are able program.
