UPHS – Portage has earned an A rating from Leapfrog Hospital Safety. The hospital earns national recognition with the award, and it’s ninth straight recognition from the hospital safety and transparency advocate group. The Leapfrog Group is a nationally recognized hospital and medical industry watchdog group that grades facilities on standards for quality care, patient safety, and bases their grades on a hospital’s ability to prevent medical error or harm to patients. Their trusted, transparent, evidence based survey, grades over 2300 voluntary participating hospitals across the country.
