Volunteer Expo On Michigan Tech Campus Moves to MUB Commons

Huskies from Michigan Tech enjoy getting out into the local community, on campus, or anywhere in the Upper Peninsula to volunteer. The university has built a culture and history around volunteering, often encouraging students to get involved with registered student organizations where they can volunteer throughout the year at different events. Org even gets to know a local non-profit organization, and volunteers out in the copper country at any chance possible. The university even hosts a volunteer expo each year, that offers students a chance to learn more about volunteer opportunities in the local area, and how to get involved with different causes.  The volunteer expo taking place today from 4 to 6 pm, has been moved and will take place in the Memorial Union Building Commons area. The expo will feature twenty-five different organizations that offer volunteer experiences with kids, elders, critters, voters, and green spaces. The event is open to the public, and the community is also encouraged to check out the Volunteer Expo on campus.
