Bay Ambulance Camp 911 Prepares Kids For Emergencies

One of the best ways to keep kids free from harm is to teach them safety techniques.

Camp 911 by Bay Ambulance provides kids with a fun way to learn those skills.

Baraga Police Chief Matt Gagnier says these kids will be better prepared in case of an emergency.

The Baraga and L’anse Fire Departments along with DNR Fire Control also helped with the camp.

Baraga Police Department, Michigan State Police, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Baraga Memorial Hospital also contributed to the camp.

Gagnier says all of the departments involved with Camp 911 are glad to be able to provide this service to these young adolescents.

After leaving Camp 911 the kids walk away with first aid supplies, a smoke alarm and more tools to help them use the knowledge they’ve learned.
