Airport Terminal Study Nixed

A proposal to do a feasibility study to determine if the Houghton County Airport needs a new terminal will not proceed… at least, not for now. The County Board declined to approve funding for the request at last night’s meeting. Discussions about a major revamp or replacement of the terminal have been going on for more than a decade. There was general agreement that the existing terminal is out of date, but Commissioner Tim Palosaari couldn’t support paying 40-thousand dollars for another study, if the county wasn’t also prepared to proceed with the study’s recommendation… PALOSAARI A.
