BBB Warns About School Books Scam

The Better Business Bureau in Michigan is warning school administrators to watch out for phony invoices that ask for payment of more than 600 dollars for school books. The billing comes from an outfit calling itself the Scholastic School Supply, a name similar to a legitimate supply company, although the B-B-B says the scammers are trying to get some quick cash from unknowing school districts. The advisory from the B-B-B says Michigan is one of 22 states getting the phony invoices. It was not immediately clear if any school districts in Michigan have actually sent money to the scammers.
