Benishek to Obama: “Too Little, Too Late”

Benishek to Obama: “Too Little, Too Late” – May 22, 2014 – Todd VanDyke
Congressman Dan Benishek has blasted President Obama’s admission that there are problems in the Veteran’s Administration medical system as “too little, too late.” Benishek is a physician who worked with the Oscar Johnson Center in Iron Mountain. He sits on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. On Tuesday, he called for Department of Veterans’ Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to step down. Yesterday, Obama met with Shinseki and said that the Secretary would stay on the job… but also said he wanted some explanations about alleged problems with the system. Charges have been made that the V-A covered up long waits by veterans to get medical service… waits that may have contributed to as many as 40 deaths.
