Bergland Man In Custody For Assaulting A Police Officer

A Bergland man is in custody for assaulting a police officer and for possession of a weapon by a felon.

The Ontonagon Sheriff’s Office says the arrest happened around 4pm Friday.

The deputy was assisted by a Sergeant and Trooper from Michigan State Police Wakefield Post.

The suspect is lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail on $70,000 Cash bond.
