Bridge Delay This Afternoon

The Portage Lake Lift Bridge was delayed almost a half hour today due to a mechanical malfunction. According to the Houghton Police Department, plowing on the bridge caused a piece to get stuck and held up drivers around 2 p.m. this afternoon. The issue was resolved and no other problems were found.
